Flag Retirement
Troop 648 provides regularly performs flag retirement ceremonies. ​A flag retirement ceremony is a respectful way to dispose of a flag that is no longer serviceable.

Veterans of Foreign Wars John Lyon Post 3150 in Arlington collects worn and tattered flags for proper retirement; the number of flags far exceeds their ability to keep up, and for at least he past 15 years they have relied on Chain Bridge District units to help reduce the inventory. The Post is open for us to pick up flags any Sunday afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00, and by appointment. Call 703-528-1416 to schedule.
