Solomons Island

Solomons Island Navy Recreation Center is an annual camping trip open to the entire family. Nestled on a peninsula bounded by the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, the scenic vistas of the waterfront provide backdrop for the cardboard boat races! Scouts make their own boats from carboard, duct tape and other improvised and scavenged materials.  Whose boat will remain seaworthy the longest?
